I am Traci Richards Burks. To tell you a little about myself, I am originally from Alabama, but moved to Shreveport, LA then to Bossier City, LA in 2004 due to my position. I am a Nurse Practitioner at the Overton Brooks VAMC in Shreveport, LA. I received my nursing degree, BSN, at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Ten years later I received my MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Samford University. My terminal degree is a Doctorate in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2013. May 2019, I completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Northwestern State University.

Clinically, I work in infectious disease, internal medicine, Psychiatric Mental and Behavioral Health, and telehealth. My practice stretches throughout the life span three years of age to 100 years. Includes all behavioral screenings and evaluations for children, adults and geriatrics, assessments with history and physicals, diagnosing, prescribing and management of acute and chronic illnesses medical and Psychiatric. I am educated and have practiced in addiction medicine for the last five years. Prescribing and management of Suboxone.
